Isaiah
Chapter
1 Verse 10-19

 |
Here in chapter 1 verse 10 we get down to some serious
work. We must take this personal. These words are meant for them at that
time but what’s more it is just as relevant to us today. This is a command
for us as well. |

10 Hear
the word of the LORD, ye rulers of
Sodom
; give ear unto
the law of our God, ye people of
Gomorrah
.
Isaiah
1:10
(KJV)

In the next few verses you will read about burnt offerings and such.
But if you apply them today what do you get? Church services that just go
through the motions. Same stuff each Sunday. Is your heart and prayer in it?
Like it was the last time you had a life and death situation and you prayed?
Do you truly love GOD or do you take him for granted? Do you sin and pass it
off as nothing? A small lie, talk about someone (gossip), use profanity?
STOP making excuses for yourself. GOD is tired of it.

Matthew Henry’s Comentary:
 |
Judea
was desolate, and their cities burned. This
awakened them to bring sacrifices and offerings, as if they would bribe God
to remove the punishment, and give them leave to go on in their sin. Many
who will readily part with their sacrifices, will not be persuaded to part
with their sins. They relied on the mere form as a service deserving a
reward. The most costly devotions of wicked people, without thorough
reformation of heart and life, cannot be acceptable to God. He not only did
not accept them, but he abhorred them. All this shows that sin is very
hateful to God. If we allow ourselves in secret sin, or forbidden
indulgences; if we reject the salvation of Christ, our very prayers will
become abomination.
|

11 To
what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD:
I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I
delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When
ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my
courts?
13 Bring
no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and
sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity,
even the solemn meeting.
14 Your
new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me;
I am weary to bear them.
15 And
when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye
make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Isaiah 1:11-15 (KJV)

GOD loves us so much! In Chapter 1 verse 16-19 he wants us to
repent and come to him. The word repent is used so lightly today in
church’s. When it is a life change from evil to GOD. You have to make a
willful effort to change your ways (ALL OF THEM) Read these words and let
(allow) GOD to help you. We need to change as a person then as a church then
as a community then as a nation. So you see it all starts with you. Open
your most enter parts (your heart) admit to the wrong (those deep dark
secrets) you have done and beg GOD for your forgiveness. Come to GOD as a
little child with your heart and mind wide open trusting in him. He will
help you. Do not be afraid of him HE LOVES YOU!
|
16 Wash
you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil;
 |
Verse 16
|
Pray to GOD and he will show you the way. Read the Holy Word of GOD and
let it work in your life. Truly change your life from within your heart, from
within you. Mean it with all your being. This verse is the definition of
REPENT in GOD’s own words.
17 Learn
to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead
for the widow.
18 Come
now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be
as wool.
19 If
ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Isaiah 1:16-19 (KJV)

 | GOD
is trying to tell you something here and the verses to come. This is not a
part time thing. Nor is it a play thing. GOD is very serious and he is a
full time GOD. By this I mean what the Holy Word says. Pray without
ceasing. 1
Thess
5:17

Always talking with our Lord
keeps the mind and heart aware of who and what we are. Not just when we are
among other Christians but also when we are at work, play with those we do not
believe are believers in GOD.
 | In
our churches to day very few go forward to pray. We sit there not asking
GOD to bless others or ourselves. We do not want to get in to deep and
make others look at us. We should be involved with the complete service.
Praying that GOD bless the entire church and us. Praising him for each
word and song. WORSHIP HIM IN THE HIGHEST! ! We do not hesitate to raise
our voice and cheer on our team watching a ball game.
|
This is not finished come back soon. Read and ponder over
GOD’s Holy Word! Pray and let the word work within you. GOD will show you and
let you understand all that you need. But you have to open your heart to him to
truly receive his gifts that are in his word. |
