2 Tim 2:15 (KJV)

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Something to ponder over in your heart

bulletIn Isaiah starting in the first verse of the first chapter we find the Lord talking about Israel and there state. But why don’t we take a look at this as if we are the ones he is talking about in this present day?
bulletWhy us today?
bulletLook in Romans chapter 11 verse 17. The Lord tells us we are graffed into his vine with Israel . And as such we are a part of them and partake of all that the Lord offers. So if we receive the good gifts then why not the punishment? If we do not obey him? (Please read the entire chapter)

Romans 11:17 (KJV)

17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

bulletIn Isaiah Chapter 1 verse 2 we see what maybe directed straight at us today. I look at us today and I see us going to church every Sunday morning and doing the same things over and over again. The schedule of events is the same every week. We talk with one another patting ourselves on the back for the missions we support and how well the sermon was. But do we grieve in our hearts for others when we are not at church. Like on Monday at work? Do we pray without ceasing? Are we truly concerned about the Lord’s work everyday? Do you pray from the heart or from memory? DO YOU LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART,MIND, AND SOUL?

2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

  Isaiah 1:2 (KJV)

bulletChapter 1 verse 3 of the same book the Lord talks about animals knowing their masters and where there crib is. But we do not know nor do we consider. Think about this and look into your own heart for the answers. Who is your master a job, money, or maybe drugs. Where do you belong and with whom? GOD’s children should be with there master the Lord. These answers are yours not someone else’s.

3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

  Isaiah 1:3 (KJV)

bulletChapter 1 verse 4  Read this slowly and see if you do not see us as we are today. We as a nation have done all this and more. I pray we could and would turn back to the Lord GOD for guidance.

4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

  Isaiah 1:4 (KJV)

bulletChapter 1 verse 5-9 When the Lord would strike out against his people it was to correct them of there ways. As a father would punish his children. It was not to harm them but to get them to see the error or there ways. And here it appears that he has seen that there is no use in any further punishment. We had not done anything to help ourselves. We had not even tried to bind up our sores.
bulletIn the last part of verse 9 we see where the Lord had left a remnant of believers. This is what kept them from becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah . Has he done the same for us today? I pray he has. I also pray they will continue to work hard for the Lord.

5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom , and we should have been like unto Gomorrah .

  Isaiah 1:5-9 (KJV)

Read this entire Book in the Holy Bible and do it slowly in prayer. Pondering over each word and verse. They are there for our learning and direction.

I don’t believe my words will get you interested in this but if you in prayer and with your heart seek out the truth do study the Holy Word of GOD you will be inspired to study more and pray more and your heart will be touched.

Isaiah 1:18-20 (KJV)

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Now there is your invitation by the LORD himself.
